This is an ongoing tribute to Martin (Mart) Nicholls, who sadly passed away during the early hours of Sunday 26th January 2020, following a long and difficult battle with cancer. Martin, my dad was a fighter, he literally fought to the end. Tracy and I are proud to call him dad. He was a supportive father, a loving husband and a caring brother and grandfather. He worked hard and loved spending time with family and friends. He loved his music, with his music continuing to influence me over the years…Pink Floyd, Thin Lizzy, Demis Roussos (oops, that was mum I think….). He recently got me listening to Joe Bonamassa (& Beth Hart), we were all listening to them together when dad passed, I will continue to listen to them, I feel nearer to dad when I do. We’re all going to miss you dad. A day, an hour, a minute hasn’t passed when we haven’t thought about you and reminisced over good times. Your memory will live on in us and in everyone else whose heart you have touched. Rest in Peace Dad, with love, now and always xxx
Please, if you have any stories, memories, anecdotes about our dad, please go into the ‘contribute’ section and write your stories there (‘Add Story’). We would love to hear them. Any photographs or music can also be added via the ‘contribute’ page.
Dad’s funeral will be on the 14th February 2020 (St Valentines Day) at 3.45pm, we ask that you wear smart casual clothing, no black ties. The address & location are on the ‘Home’ page.
At the start of dad’s declining health, he suffered from renal failure. We have therefore chosen two charities, Cancer Research UK and Kidney Research UK, if you would like to make a donation to these charities you can do so by clicking on the donate button on the ‘Home’ page.
Thank you for keeping our dad’s memory alive & for all your kind words and support, with lots of love Darren & Tracy xxx
